Purpose of the Role

The Marketing Assistant will support the Marketing and Business Development functions of both an external client and RXG by creating, editing, and managing high-quality social media content. This role focuses on delivering consistent, engaging content that accurately reflects the capabilities, professionalism, and brand standards of both organisations.


Scope of Social Media Management

  • Platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Posting Frequency: 3–4 posts per platform per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and maintain a structured content calendar to ensure consistent posting across all platforms.
  • Lead the creation and editing of short-form video content, including Reels, Stories, and LinkedIn videos.
  • Edit video content to a professional standard, incorporating subtitles, text overlays, transitions, and platform-specific formatting.
  • Schedule social media posts using a mix of supplied materials (photos, storylines, draft text) and internally generated content.
  • Optimise captions, hashtags, and tagging to maximise reach, visibility, and engagement.
  • Monitor platform engagement and respond to comments and messages in line with agreed brand and communication guidelines.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, visual identity, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams to translate business activities into relevant, engaging social media content.
  • Identify trends, insights, and opportunities to improve content performance and audience growth.

  • A consistently maintained and forward-planned content calendar.
  • High-quality, engaging posts across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Regular short-form video content that highlights capability, culture, and expertise.
  • Platform-specific edits with a subtitles-first, mobile-optimised approach.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in social media content creation, with a strong focus on video editing.
  • Demonstrated ability to edit short-form video for clarity, engagement, and performance.
  • Strong understanding of best practices across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Ability to work effectively with supplied content and enhance it without unnecessary complexity.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency.
  • Ability to manage content independently while working within agreed guidelines.
